How to book a ticket

On the homepage of the booking module, fill in a nearby station in the 'from' field. After filling in your arrival station, you will get the option 'adult'. When you click on this, you can select 'youth'.

Tip!

The prices in the price calendar do not show youth rates. So don't pay attention to the red, orange and green colours. Click further on a train connection to see if there are still tickets for the lowest fare.

Discount up to 25 years
Young people benefit from low prices. One-way tickets to Paris are available from € 30. The rule is: early booking is cheap travel.

From 12 to 17 years
If you are younger than 18 years you can travel for a special rate. If you are travelling unaccompanied by an adult, you must always be able to show a valid form of identification. You also must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian stating you are permitted to travel – and be able to show it upon request.

To Belgium with Eurostar

Eurostar to Antwerp and Brussels runs from Amsterdam via Schiphol Airport and Rotterdam to Belgium. Young people travel at a discount, a one-way ticket to Antwerp or Brussels with Eurostar is available from .

Travelling with the regional train via Maastricht or Roosendaal?

For young people up to 25 years there is a 30% youth discount for travel in 2nd class. Book online and check your price!

Travelling with Intercity Brussels

With Intercity Brussels you save money by booking early and travelling on weekdays. Do you also have a student OV? Then it can be even cheaper!

Minors

Are you travelling on your own are you under 18? Then you fall under the responsibility of your parents. A written declaration of responsibility from your parents is mandatory. The train conductor can ask to see it.

When you are 12 to 14 years old you are allowed to travel on your own and with a 50% discount. If you are older than 15 years you will not receive a discount.

If you are aged between 12 and 15 and want to travel to London on your own without parents/carers, you will need a letter of consent from your parents or carers.
Please note: when travelling to London with Eurostar, you must always hold a valid passport. Regardless of your age.
