How to reach Amsterdam
The easiest way to reach the heart of Amsterdam is by train. NS operates a regular service of trains from all over the Netherlands so that you can travel in comfort to the capital city. Simply purchase a ticket from a self-service ticket machine or at a Tickets and Service office and step aboard for your trip to Amsterdam.

Travel fast: Fyra and Thalys
Planning to travelling from Rotterdam or Schiphol to Amsterdam? Then use the high-speed train Fyra. To travel on Fyra trains a small supplement must be paid besides the regular ticket. Eight Fyra and Thalys trains depart a day from Schiphol, and 6 trains depart a day from Rotterdam. Tickets can be easily reserved online.
