Travelling with the CityNightLine
The City Night Line allows you to travel to Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen from as little as € 29 (single journey, 2nd class)! From there, you can change trains to many other destinations in Germany, and to Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
City Night Line: sleeping while you travel, fit on the ski-slope!
Every day, a night train leaves for Munich from Amsterdam Central. During the winter period (from 22 December to 28 March) the train departs every weekend (on Friday night) and continues on to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. You'll close your eyes in Amsterdam and when you open them again you'll be looking at the Alps! This way, you'll arrive fresh and feeling fit and ready for the slopes.
Schedule
CityNightLine departs daily at 20.32 hrs from Amsterdam Central and travels via Utrecht Central and Arnhem to Munich. In just over 10 hours you'll arrive in the city centre after having had a good night’s sleep.
For winter sport-lovers, CityNightLine continues on to Garmisch-Partenkirche in the winter (from end December to end March).
