Booking tickets online

No reservation fees and making reservations at any time that suits you… booking online offers many benefits. Payment also takes place safe and quick by using iDEAL or credit card (MasterCard). You wonder how you will get hold of your ticket? Read further for more details.

The ticket collection machine

At the large NS stations in Schiphol, Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Arnhem, you will find a ticket collection machine where you can collect the tickets you reserved online.
Please note: the machines are located in the Ticket&Service shops and are therefore only accessible during the shops’ opening hours.

Print your own ticket at home

Over 400 destinations can be bought online and for the most part the ticket can be printed at home. This is very useful if you would like to depart today or tomorrow from any station in the Netherlands! Please do take into account that you have to be able to show your identity document during the ticket control.

Have your ticket sent to your home

If you still have sufficient time to do so, you may opt to have your ticket(s) sent to you. Any address in the Netherlands may be used for this purpose. This means you do not even have to leave your house!

Train options

Do you want to go to Germany, England, Belgium, France or England? Please remember that for many of these international journeys you may make an online reservation. And that you may even opt for a combination of international trains, such as Thalys, Fyra, ICE International, Eurostar and TGV.
Please note: There is a surcharge for Fyra. You can buy the surcharge ticket at the yellow ticket machines in the stations. You can tell Fyra trains by the exterior, which is pink, purple and white and has 'Fyra' written on the side.

No reservation fee!

Making an online reservation for tickets offers many benefits – also financially. Because you do not pay any reservation fee for making online reservations for international train tickets.

Safe payment

Payment of tickets for which an online reservation has been made can take place in two ways: by using iDEAL, the Dutch standard for Internet payments, or by credit card (MasterCard or Visa) – which is just as easy, just as safe.

Personal profile

When you make an online reservation, please save your personal details in your profile and have many of the details filled in as standard when you next want to make an online reservation. That saves time!
