Of course you can travel with Fyra with your Off-peak Discount Pass.
You can use the balance on your NS OV-chipkaart (public transport smart card) to travel on the Fyra high-speed route. However, please note that a paper ticket supplement will also be required when travelling with the OV-chipkaart, like with any other NS ticket.
No discount is available for the Fyra ticket supplement. Children also pay the full amount for the supplement.
To provide you with the best possible service, we offer various ways for you to buy your ticket. The easiest and cheapest option is to buy your ticket online or at the self-service ticket machine. You do not have to pay any booking fees for these methods.

Fyra has two travel classes, 1st class and 2nd class, which offer:
If you have a 1st class ticket, you can wait for your train in the NS Hispeed Lounge in Amsterdam, Schiphol, Rotterdam or Breda and enjoy the self-service bar with free drinks. This are comfortable writing desks complete with various socket outlets and fast internet connection, a media wall with televisions portraying the latest news and a reading table with a selection of international newspapers and magazines.
To make your trip even more comfortable, Fyra always offers catering services. The trolley service will pass by your seat during the trip, offering a selection of hot, cold and alcoholic beverages, sandwiches, sweets and biscuits.
The train has a fixed composition of carriages and seat numbers. The boarding signs on the platform at the station will show where the carriages with the reserved seats (numbers 21 and 22) are located on the train. Carriage numbers are displayed on the outside of the train besides the doors, and seat numbers are displayed on the stickers above the window seats.
Each passenger on Fyra may take along a maximum of two large suitcases and one piece of hand luggage. They can be stored in the luggage racks above the seats, or between and under the seats.
Very large suitcases, children’s pushchairs or fully collapsable folding bicycles may be stored in the entryway between the compartments.

Passengers are not allowed to bring a bicycle on a Fyra train. However, a folding bike packed in a bag is considered luggage and can be transported free of charge.

Small pets may travel with you free of charge if they are transported in a car. If your pet is too large to fit in a carrier, you need to buy a ‘day ticket for dogs’ for € 3. This is a 2nd class ticket, even if you are travelling 1st class.
Guide dogs for the blind may travel along free of charge.

People with an OV-Begeleiderskaart (OV Guide Pass) can ask a passenger to accompany them free of charge. In that case, you purchase a ticket and a ticket supplement for yourself. When you show your OV Guide Pass, you will receive a free ticket including ticket supplement for your companion. Carriage 24 has two wheelchair places, which cannot be reserved in advance.
Assistance for getting on and off the train can be requested up to 3 hours before departure at 030-2357822 (local phone charges).

Smoking is prohibited on board Fyra.
