Reserve a seat in advance at no additional cost. That way you'll be able to work uninterrupted or you can sit back and simply relax while you enjoy your trip.

One carriage in both 1st and 2nd class has been designated for reservations. The seats in other carriages cannot be reserved. Availablity is therefore limited.

What fare types offer or require a reservation?

Can I select my seat if I make a reservation?

No, you will be assigned a seat and do not have the opportunity to choose the exact postion of your seat.

Where can I make a seat reservation?

You make a seat reservation when you buy your ticket at one of the following ticket purchasing facilities:

• NSHispeed.nl
• NS Hispeed Telesales (0900-9296,€ 0.35 per minute)
• Your travel agent

Please note: a reservation is required for the SuperDiscount fares.

If I have a Route Pass or an Annual Pass, can I reserve a seat for several trips over a longer period?

This option is not available at present.

How will I know where my reserved seat is located?

The train has a fixed composition of carriages and seat numbers. The boarding signs on the platform at the station will show where the carriages with the reserved seats are located on the train. Carriage numbers are displayed on the outside of the train besides the doors, and seat numbers are displayed on the stickers above the window seats.
