Off-peak Discount Pass and other passes

RailPlus

Travel with discount to 23 European counties! It's possible with the international discount card RailPlus.

Do you have an Off-peak Discount Pass, a Route Pass, a Student OV-chipkaart or an Annual Pass? Then you can purchase a RailPlus pass with which you will receive 25% discount on the full fare of international single and return tickets. A RailPlus pass costs € 15 a year and will be valid in the same period as your other pass. If you have an Off-peak Discount Pass and are 60 years or older you will even receive the RailPlus free of charge!

You can purchase the RailPlus pass via NS Hispeed Telesales or at a NS Hispeed desk in one of the Tickets & Service offices at the largers train stations.

Cross-border travel

Purchase international tickets from the Dutch border and onwards online. It's quick and easy.

Belgium

Profit from the advantageous super discount tickets to, for example, Belgium. A low-fixed ticket Amsterdam to Antwerp usually costs €37.60, but if you have a RailPlus pass you can purchase a ticket from any station in the Netherlands for just € 9.20. Would you prefer to visit Brussels? Then pay € 18.20 instead of € 46.60!

Germany

With the RailPlus pass, a return ticket to Dusseldorf or Cologne costs just € 18 (Low-fixed fares) instead of € 38.

How to buy a ticket with RailPlus discount

On the Preferences page of the bookings module on NSHispeed.nl, check the box "Railpluskaart" and you will receive the discount price which will be visable to you in step 3 Overview.

The same terms and conditions apply when using your Off-peak Discount Pass for international travel as with domestic travel. Please keep this in mind when choosing your departure times.
