France
The French ski slopes are directly attainable from the Netherlands with Ski-Thalys. Every Saturday from 31 December till 24 March, a high-speed train leaves early in the morning from Amsterdam Central via Schiphol and Rotterdam Central to the French Alps.

Ski-Thalys passengers get the special possibility of booking a bus transfer. These transfers are connected to the arrival times of Thalys and can be booked online via SnowBuzz.

Austria
There are several ways in which the Austrain ski destinations can be reached by public transport.
Day trains
Autria can be reached from the Netherlands using the regular day trains and having to change trains just once. Create the perfect itinerary for your trip by using the international train planner.
It is possible to book your trip to Austria up till 3 months in advance.
Night trains
Please note:
- On Fridays during the winter season the CityNightLine to Munich travels on to Innsbruck. Tickets with CityNightLine to Innsbruck can be booked via NS Hispeed Telesales or the NS Hispeed desks.
Tickets voor CityNightLine can be booked 180 days before departure. Create the perfect itinerary for your trip by using the international train planner.
In addition to your train tickets, you can book a connecting coach journey seperately through the Postbus website
Switzerland
You can take a day or night train to ski destinations in Switzerland.
Day trains
A direct ICE International train to Basel from the Netherlands departs every day.
For other destinations in Switzerland, please use the international train planner to plan your trip. Tickets for ICE International can be booked up till three months in advance.
Night trains
CityNightLine departs from the Netherlands to Zurich, via Basel from Thursdays through Sundays. In the winter season the CityNightLine continues onwards to Brig via Thun, Spiez, Frutigen, Kandersteg and Goppenstein.
Please note:
- CityNightLine trains to Munich and Zurich do not run on a daily basis.
- On Fridays during the witner season CityNightLine travels onwards from Zurich to Brig.
Please use the international train planner to plan your trip. Tickets for ICE International can be booked up till three months in advance.
In addition to your train tickets, you can book a connecting coach journey separately through the Swiss Travel System website.
Ski-Thalys
In the winter, Ski-Thalys takes you quickly and comfortably to the most beautiful skiing areas in the French Alps.
