Be warned: Thorpe Park is not for the faint-hearted or people seeking some peace and quiet. This is a meeting place for the dare-devils. There are more than 30 attractions – each more exhilarating than the next – which will make even the most adventuresome thrill-seekers scream. This is the place to be when it comes to thrills and chills!
Thorpe Park is located in Staines. Eurostar trains depart 7 times a day from the Netherlands to London. The 6-hour train trip includes changing trains at Brussels South where you will arrive with InterCity Brussels and need to catch a connecting Eurostar train. You arrive in London at St Pancras International where you can best use the Underground to get to Waterloo. (First take the Victoria line to Oxford Circus and then take to the Bakerloo line to Waterloo.) From there you can shuttle 950 which leaves every 30 minutes, to Thorpe Park.
If you think one day will not be enough, or if you would like to spend more than one day away, there are several hotels near the theme park that offer excellent accommodations.
The theme park is closed in the winter. Please consult the Thorpe Park website for the opeining times. Save money by purchasing your tickets online and printing them at home. Discounts also apply to families, children, senior citizens and disabled people. (Tickets purchased at the park entrance cost £ 25.50 for children and £ 32 for adults.)
