Thalys on Dutch high-speed track

27 October 2009 A revolution in the Netherlands: since December 2009 you can travel from Amsterdam to Paris in 3 hours and 18 minutes and to Brussels in 1 hour and 53 minutes. It is the first time that Thalys can now travel at full speed on Dutch soil.

The start of NS Hispeed

6 September 2009 NS Hispeed offes the fastest connections between Rotterdam and Amsterdam. On 6 September 2009 Fyra took its first trip on the first high-speed track in the Netherlands. Minister Eurlings (Ministry of Transport), together with mayors Aboutaleb (Rotterdam), Cohen (Amsterdam) and Weterings (Haarlemmermeer) opened the Fyra connection Amsterdam - Schiphol - Rotterdam.

New uniform

28 August 2009 Fashion designer Erny van Reijmersdal designs the first Fyra uniform for NS Hispeed and NMBS. These modern and eye-catching uniforms will be used by all personel on the high-speed trains travelling between Amsterdam and Rotterdam and Brussels.

B-Roll material

7 July 2009 Michel Jadot (director NMBS) and Michiel van Roozendaal (director NS Hispeed) presented the new high-speed train: Fyra. The high-speed trains will be able to travel at a maximum speed of 250 kilomtres an hours and will be used on the track between Amsterdam and Brussels.
