Change in schedule
As of 12 April there has been a change to the InterCity Brussels schedule. The first and last trains have been cancelled, with the exception of Saturday night when the last train Brussels-Amsterdam will still run. For more information about travel times please consult the international train planner.
Travel by train directly to Antwerp and Brussels
With the InterCity Brussels, you can travel comfortably and directly from Amsterdam to different stations in Antwerp and Brussels. From Maastricht, you can travel via Liège to several destinations in Belgium.
Purchasing tickets
You can buy a ticket to all destinations that can be reached with InterCity Brussels online and print them at home. You will no longer have to wait in a queue at one of the ticket desks in a Tickets & Service office.

You can even travel ticketless if you'd prefer. If you register for a NS Hispeed Card you will only have to bring your card with you.

At almost all NS stations you can also purchase your tickets to Belgium with InterCity Brussels at one of the self-service ticket machines.

Practical information
Travel classes
The comfortable InterCity Brussels trains have air-conditioning in both the 1st and the 2nd class carriages. In addition, every seat in the 1st class has a 220-volt outlet*, which will allow you to use your laptop during the entire journey.
* Please note that sometimes non-standard carriages need to be used to form the train. Unfortunately these carriages will have outlets or tray tables. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Catering
At the minibar, you can purchase snacks and drinks.
Making reservations
InterCity Brussels does not offer the option to make reservations for seats. This means that you can use your ticket to travel with any InterCity Brussels.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on board the InterCity Brussels.
