Travelling on an ICE International train means comfortable travel. Every detail has been attended to. In the Bar/Bistro, you can order a simple meal, sandwiches, salads, hot snacks or a beverage and pay in cash or with a credit card. In some ICE International trains, personnel come around to your seat selling beverages and snacks.
The new ICE International 3-train sets (Cologne-Frankfurt) have Panorama Lounge compartments. In these compartments, a glass wall gives travellers the same view that the engine driver has!
On ICE International trains, the carriage numbers are located next to the exterior doors. Your ticket has your carriage number on it, so finding your carriage should be easy. Or consult the sign located on the platform that gives information about train carriages and where they are located.
Once on board, you will receive Ihr Reiseplan, a folder that lists the stops the train will make and gives information about departure and arrival times for each station, information about connecting trains, and what services are available on board. You should also listen to announcements.
To make our trains as accessible as possible for everyone, including the elderly, visually handicapped and other passengers with impaired mobility, we provide a number of special facilities.
