To ensure you travel in the greatest possible comfort we would like to provide you with a few travel tips that will enable you to make the proper preparations for your journey.
- Plan your journey on NSHispeed.nl/en. There you will find all the information you need.
- Did you know that there is no reservation fee when you make a reservation online? This means you can make a reservation at any moment that suits you and also save money!
- We advise you to always reserve a seat on the busier routes. This will ensure that you do not have to take a long time to find a free seat.
- At large stations you need at least 15 minutes to transfer to another train. We therefore advise you to ensure you have enough time to make the transfer.
- Are you going to travel to France by Thalys? Then you should know that you are obliged to provide your luggage with a label containing your first name and surname.
Planned changes in the train schedule
Because of the possibility of repair or maintenance work taking place along your route, we advise you to always consult one of the following information sources a few days before starting on your journey:
- ns.nl and nshispeed.nl(only in Dutch)
- NOS Teletext pages 751, 752 en 754.
- the 'Werk aan het spoor' (Dutch only) brochure which can be collected at one of the NS service points or downloaded via NS.nl.
