Access for everyone
We offer a number of additional services to increase accessibility for the elderly, poor-sighted and other passengers with slightly impaired mobility.
Assistance getting on and off the train
Do you need assistance getting on and off a domestic train? No problem – you can request the required assistance one week in advance by calling +31(0)30 235 78 22 between 07.00 and 23.00 hrs. Please have all relevant information at hand when you make this call.
If you are hearing impaired, you can fax your request for assistance to +31 (0)30 235 39 35. Your confirmation will be send back to you by fax.

Travelling with a guide
Passengers with a disability may be eligible for an OV Guide Pass. Depending on the country in which you will be travelling, a passenger accompanying and guiding you may receive a free ticket when using the OV Guide Pass.
Fyra
The guides of passengers with an OV Guide Pass may travel along for free on a Fyra train. When buying a ticket with surcharge for yourself, you will receive a free ticket with surcharge for your travel companion when you present your OV Guide Pass.
In carriage #24 there are two wheelchair spaces (these cannot be reserved).
Requesting assistance with getting on and off a Fyra train can be submitted 3 hours before depature by calling the following number: 030 - 235 78 22 (domestic rate).
Thalys
In Comfort 1 there is space especially for passengers in a wheelchair. There a special reduced ticket price for this space and one person may accompany you for the same reduced rate. The width of the door leading to this carriage is 70 centimetres. Unfortuantely, you may not board the train with a mobility scooter.
NB: Passengers in a wheelchair canNOT depart or arrive from the Berchem station as this station does not have the required facilities on their platform.
The reduced ticket price is not valid for passengers who are blind or poor-sighted - but is valid for one person accompanying them. A guide dog may board the train, free of charge.
ICE International
There are one or two wheelchair spaces in second class in every IC Berlin and ICE Internation train carriage, with handicap washroom/toilet facilities in the vicinity. Next to each wheelchair space there is a seat which is always reserved for the accompanying guide.
Eurostar
In first class there are two spaces especially for passengers in a wheelchair. There a special reduced ticket price for this space and one person may accompany you for the same reduced rate. Travellers with a mobility scooter may transport it free of charge on the Eurostar in the luggage compartment.
The reduced ticket price is not valid for passengers who are blind or poor-sighted - but is valid for one person accompanying them.
TGV
The wheelchair space on TGV trains is accessable for passengers with both a manual and power wheelchair with maximum dimensions of length 120 cm and width 70 cm.
