Discount passes and other passes

These conditional passes give you a discount on (at least part of) your trip.

Off-peak Hours Pass

For certain trips, your Off-peak Hours Pass (Voordeelurenabonnement) gives you a discount on the Dutch part of the route. Please note that the conditions associated with the Off-peak Hours Pass still apply in this case.

RailPlus

RailPlus Pass gives you a 25% discount on the full fare for international trains in 24 European countries. RailPlus does not apply, however, to travel on trains that require special reservations such as Thalys and Eurostar. Anyone who already has an Off-peak Hours Pass (Voordeelurenabonnement), an NS Annual Pass (NS Jaarabonnement), a Public Transport Annual Pass (OV Jaarabonnement), an NS Annual Route Pass (NS-Jaartrajectabonnement) or a Public Transport Student Pass (OV-studentenkaart) can buy a RailPlus Pass.
If you are 60 or older, you receive a RailPlus Pass at no extra cost when you buy your NS pass. The expiration date on your RailPlus Pass is linked to the expiration date of your other pass. Click here for more information about the conditions related to the RailPlus Pass and how it can be used.

Public Transport Annual Pass / other NS Route passes

On certain routes, your Public Transport Annual Pass (OV-Jaarabonnement) or other NS Route pass (NS-Reisrecht) can give you a discount on the Dutch part of your route. Please note that the conditions associated with your pass still apply in this case.
